James Seabright has produced and/or general managed a wide range of shows since 2001, with an emphasis on touring shows around the UK and internationally, as well as productions in various venues both on and off West End in London, including Pete and Dud: Come Again (The Venue, 2006), Potted Potter (Trafalgar Studios, three seasons), Bill Hicks: Slight Return (four West End seasons including Arts & Apollo) and Showstopper! The Improvised Musical (various London seasons, 2009/10). James has been profiled by both The Independent on Sunday and The Stage, and has twice been the recipient of the Stage One New Producer Bursary (2002 and 2004). He has been a guest speaker at RADA, City Lit and at the Masterclass series run by Theatre Royal Haymarket. Since 2003, James has taken a number of productions to the Edinburgh festival each year under the Festival Highlights banner, and was named in 2008’s Stage 100 list of leading figures involved with the Edinburgh fringe, and 2010's Stage 100 list of the most influential people in British theatre. His Edinburgh Fringe shows there have won a wide range of awards, including Musical Theatre Matters Best Lyrics Award for Barbershopera II in 2009, Spirit of the Fringe Awards for Showstopper! in 2009 and Zoe Gardner in 2008, a Herald Angel award for Ed Hamell in 2007, and Scotsman Fringe Firsts for What I Heard About Iraq in 2006 and Gone in 2004. In 2010 so far, James has produced the London transfers of The World's Wife and Barbershopera II at Trafalgar Studios, and general managed the London premiere of Jihad! The Musical at Jermyn Street Theatre.
